Dear Matthew, thank you for always supporting us and making us laugh. Matthew made me feel so welcome when I came back to Leeds to start my PhD. He helped us with anything we needed and it was a comfort to know we could always pop upstairs to see him (with all sorts of strange questions that he never judged!). He was kind, witty, and an excellent film critic. We will miss Matthew so very much x
